Summer School '20
IEEE Student Branch DAIICT aims to provide an interactive platform for students to develop professional and technical abilities. We, at DA-IICT observe a 3 month break during summer from May to July. IEEE SB DAIICT hosts Summer School every year to provide students an opportunity to develop their technical skills and make their summer break productive. It is a 7-day program wherein the students get a hands-on experience in one of the emerging technical domains followed by a project competition.
The domain for Summer School 2020 is Deep Learning with a special focus on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Deep Learning, along with Machine Learning, is becoming quite a buzzword these days. With the advent of high-performance computing and the availability of huge data, it has become much easier to implement large neural networks and increase the performance of the learning algorithms. We aim to educate the students about this interesting branch of computer science and encourage them to contribute more to the field of deep learning in India.
